We bought this luggage set because it looked nice, had the assortment of sizes we were looking for, and was not overly expensive. After it's maiden flight, we found upon picking up our luggage off the carousel, that the side was dented in and there was a cut in the side fabric (as seen in photo). The internal side support is not robust and as it's a u-channel, the support bar cut through the fabric. The side fabric is very thin unlike the front panel. I gave this a 3 star only because it's nice for the cost and feel this would be ok for ground travel but would not recommend for air travel due to it's low durability hence the 1 star on this point. This has been incredibly useful for accommodating last-minute items or souvenirs acquired during travel. However, one aspect I wish was different is the wheel configuration. Fixed wheels can be a bit cumbersome, especially when navigating crowded airports or busy streets. Spinner wheels would have offered greater maneuverability and ease of use. Nevertheless, the set's construction from tear-resistant fabric and its thoughtful design features, such as multiple front zippered pockets and interior organization compartments, make it a practical choice for frequent travelers. In conclusion, while there is room for improvement, particularly in the wheel department, the U.S. Traveler New Yorker luggage set represents a solid value proposition. (Update; A few days after I ordered my two sets,which I love, btw and am thinking of getting the garment case this brand has also, and I really do think I found the best among the 4-to-5piece upright luggage sets overall!, the luggage sets went on sale, for twentypercentOff, and not unlike most stores, Amazon does have an active consumer policy of giving you a receipt credit for the difference if an item goes on sale after you purchase, so I am waiting to be credited-but am very happy with the purchases) After a few months of looking online, I finally narrowed my search down to three online retailers that had upright-luggage-sets of 4-to-6 available. And so I settled on buying the UST-NewYork-Style Expandable Rolling Luggage 4-Piece-Set (in black with grey accents). I needed more than one larger case, so I ordered two separate identical sets (-right now I am still waiting on the other set to arrive). Upfront, I bought this set because it looked great in the videos and also because it was streamlined and was a deeper cases set as well as having the 29inch case (or taller sizes) actually included in the set as described, whereas some of the other sets only had the smaller cases and being Swedish, like most people of the dominant skinny-standard-tall height-range, I still, occasionally like a bigger case. To be more accurate I would describe it as 3-pieces luggage and 1-piece accessories bag (The set came with those little keylocks, to secure the zipclosure, and Three Suitcases and also a single-small bag which is suitable as tablet/small-laptop carry case, which was very nice). Also, this is a nesting luggage set so, it is very easy to store, neatly intact and also was very easy to handle by myself. Like most SwedishEuropeans living in the USA, I like a certain standard of built-well-designed-well type items and accessories and such to make life easier. (When my favorite JuicyCouture patent luggage set with 34inch-to-39inch or so suitcase was missing from a home-invasion event in 2021, I wanted to find something I could use -while waiting to return safely to my residence and have my missing JC luggage and other property returned to me by law-enforcement and social-services as required by law). SPECIALNOTE: It’s important to note that in the descriptions, the inch-height-measurement, includes the wheels, so if you are in need of a separate 34inch case or taller, it’s best to look for the 37inchCase, as the wheels will take up at least two-inches if not more. What I like about this set is that it really does look even better in person than in the Ad photos, and looks as nice in person as in the video review with the young man showing one of the cases open and closed on a table in the video. It is different enough from my other luggage pieces so it’s not a repeat and has it’s own function, but cleanly designed to fit in with my personal use and not to distract in storing in a basement or closet or corner. The problem I have with this luggage is that it has two wheels but that is not really the issue because I am fine with two wheels. But because it has two wheels it relies on a rubber pad on the non-wheel side to make it stand up straight when you are not wheeling it around. Unfortunately, however, the pad is too thin so the luggage has a strong tendency to simply fall over the moment you try to stand it up by itself. This was a constant problem with both the main suitcase and the carry-on. I constantly had to lean them against a wall or each other to keep them from falling over. Leggi di più
