My three girls, ages 6,8 and 10 love to sing and dance and have wanted their own "microphones" for so long that we decided to get this little karaoke machine for them to use. First, let me say we were pleasantly surprised by this little machine and two microphones. Overall, there have been no porblems connecting the microphones, and the sound quality has been quite good. Both microphones work without feedback, and have a fairly clear sound. The machine and small microphones are quite portable, so they can use it in their rooms, or in the basement. It's simple enough for children to use indepenently, which is a big plus for me. I don't want to have to go and connect the mics each time they want to play, so it's great they can do it themselves. Charging is easy with a USB, but they have used it for hours with no need to charge, so the battery life is also quite good (they have been using it with lights off). They haven't used any apps for karaoke songs, they just use karaoke on YouTube, which they seem to like perfectly fine, so it's nice that it is quite portable, as they watch the words on the TV screen in the basement most often.
