Great product and Value
Received the product and I was shocked by the good quality and low price. Seems well made, solid and sturdy. The bike has some some weight to it and is super quiet. It is very simple to put together and it comes with tools for assembly, however, you will need a sharp box cutter knife or wire cutter to cutoff the plastic ties that hold the parts together. Unlike some other products on Amazon, the instructions are in English that is easy to understand and actually make sense. The bike is super quiet, has a simple onboard computer, and is smooth to operate. The handle bar and seat height is adjustable and so is the wheel tension. The seat can be moved closer or further from the handle bar. If you are a smaller person under 5' tall, you may have an issue with the maximum seat setting not being able to adjust it close enough to the handle bar. If this is the case, you may have to look for a handle bar extension. I have not used it long enough to comment on longevity. If I have any issues, I will update my comments. Very happy with this buy so far and highly recommend it. Leggi di più

Overall a great spin bike for the price
I picked this bike up since I have started going stir-crazy with COVID. I have 2 mountain bikes and throughout the year I put in about 2-3 rides a week for 25 miles a week. Looking around at the different brands and bikes I really went with this one because of the simplicity and cost of the bike. I would love to have gone with a Peloton or MyxFitness but the cost of the bike itself and then the monthly subscription is too difficult to justify. Assembly was easy for the bike. It took me roughly an hour to get it together. The instructions are very thorough and have good diagrams to follow along with. Tools were provided for everything except for attaching the saddle to the saddle post. This attachment required two 1/2 inch wrenches/sockets to turn two bolts at the same time to lock the saddle on the post. It was probably the worst part of the assembly and could probably use an extra person to keep the saddle lined up with the frame. I have only had the bike for 4 days, but I have ridden 45-60 minutes and 12-16 miles a day. The bike is quiet which was important because I live in a 3rd story apartment. It is stable as well so it does not wobble as you pedal or stand up. The tension knob has a wide range of settings from easy rides to quad burning regret. The display computer is very simple and shows all of the important bits of information, but nothing extra. I can't speak to how accurate the speed, distance, etc. is as I don't have a way to track it. The phone/tablet and water bottle holders are a cheap plastic that I may remove as I won't use them. I cracked the plastic on water bottle holder just from screwing it onto the frame. The seat is a bit hard. I have not had a huge issue with it so far as it is not uncomfortable. Its not as if I am taking jumps or hitting technical terrain on it like you may on a real bike. Overall I am very happy with this bike. It is a no nonsense bike that is perfect for just trying to keep moving during bad weather or COVID. You aren't going to break the bank, but along with that you aren't going to get a lot of the luxuries that people have come to expect from higher end brands. I say set the bike in front of a TV or screen with YouTube and just start pedaling. Its enough to get you sweating and have a good workout. Leggi di più

Very Impressed for the price
It's no Peloton, but great "bang" for the buck. I wasn't looking to spend thousands on exercise equipment that may end up not being used in the long run. I wanted something that was decent to hopefully get me encouraged to get healthier but not break the bank if it ended up sitting in a corner. I chose this model as there were many more total reviews on Amazon.ca than others such as Sunny and Chaoke. The reviews were overall excellent as well. At the time of my purchase in early July 2021 the bike sold for $375 CDN. I was really skeptical about the low price but the thousands of reviews and specs were good. Regular price was about $500 which is where I expected to spend. Unlike some other bikes in this price range on Amazon.ca, DMASUN bikes are not just sold on Amazon from some unknown supplier in China. These bikes appear to be available from various exercise stores/suppliers. Makes me think these bikes are from an actual exercise equipment supplier who has taken time and effort to design something decent. Not just a one off to dump into the Amazon market. The overall weight of the bike and the flywheel were heavier than others in the same price range which should mean the bike would be more solid, smooth and stable. My bike does have magnetic resistance (older purchasers seems to have friction). The system is belt drive. The bike came days earlier than expected and in very sturdy package. Individual components were nicely wrapped and packaged within. Overall the build quality appears solid and nice. Assembly was easy. The bike is very sturdy, solid and appears well made. Welded seams look good and parts appear to be of solid metal quality. The bike operates very smoothly and super quiet. There was a bit of a rocking to it but was easily corrected via the adjustment caps on the stands. The fit and finish is just ok. But I wasn't expecting too much. For example, decals were not straight or lifting off. Not a big deal to me. The handle bar post has a bit of a wobble as it is not rock solid in place. However, it doesn't feel like it's going to break or loosen or come off. I also have it set to the highest height setting, so the post is extended as far as it can go. This may be why it's not rock solid. The resistance has great range from no effort to really hard. Motion of the flywheel and crank are sooth as quiet. The bike is sturdy and solid to stand as you ride as well. Overall, it has a nice look. I am not keen on the toe clips and strap but those can be replaced easy enough. The seat is just ok. I have no problem with it but may want to upgrade. The monitor is pretty cheap but it does what it needs to to. Tells you time and speed and distance. I dont need any more. It also tells you heart rate which is pretty cool although I am not sure on the accuracy (via contacts on the handle bar and your palms). I am 5'9" and weight 200 lbs and have had no problems finding comfortable position settings for seat height, seat angle, distance of seat to handle bars, hand bar height. Although I wish the seat distance could get just a bit closer to the handle bars. I have the handle bars all the way up which can be of concern for someone taller. But, this position has me fairly upright whereas I think spin bike position is probably more leaned over. So maybe I just have the handlebars a bit high for my height. I don't plan to move it around but did test the wheels on the front stand. It moved very easily on the wheels with minimal effort but a bit awkward lifting the back end up and finding a good spot to hold it as I moved it. Over all, this bike really has good weight, build quality and smooth and quiet operation. For the $400 price range (give or take) it's great value. Only time will tell if it lasts. I plan on using it every day for 30 minutes. I'll add to this review in the near future. Leggi di più

It's a great bike and good for tall riders...
I don't write reviews often but felt like this warranted a review. Came very well packed - I was nervous because of the weight of these but it was well packed and protected. Bike is easy to assemble, very sturdy, extremely quite, almost silent. Might be too heavy for some people to move on their own. I chose this bike because of the heavy flywheel and the drop bars so it would somewhat resemble my road bike. I did not install the tablet tray as I have a TV in front of me for workouts and the tray is a bit in the way of certain hand positions but that's a very minor issue. The computer is definitely on the cheap end, but I am not using it as I plan to ride based on feel and using online workouts so I have no need to track miles and speed. I also installed my own pedals and seat - this is OPTIONAL and I only did so to get it as close to my road bike as possible. The pedals are fine and the seat is (in my opinion) too big. FOR BEGINNERS - YOU DON'T NEED A HUGE CUSHY SEAT ON THIS OR A REAL BIKE. YOU NEED TIME ON THE BIKE TO GET USED TO IT AND THE SORENESS WILL GO AWAY. You can use any standard bike seat on this or just use what it came with. TALL RIDERS: I am 6'4" and ride an XL Giant road bike that is 58.5cm. You can absolutely get this bike setup very close to your road bike even if you are tall. Your only issues might be that you can't rotate the handle bars towards or away from you, but they do move up and down. You also are limited to the crank arm length and position so you might not get your perfect pedal position. The crank is about 1" higher off the ground than my road bike so I adjusted the handlebars and seat accordingly. I am in the highest position for handlebars and seat, but at 6'4", I have no complaints at the size of this bike for 99.9% of riders. For many other people, even if you're 6'5" or a bit taller you'd be fine without such an aggressive road bike style setup for this. I did add some duct tape on the handlebar and seat tubes that insert into the frame to add a bit of stability since they're up so high, but aside from a very little amount of play, they would still be solid and tight even without my added layer of tape. The water bottle cage it comes with is super cheap but probably works. I had an extra that's a bit more sturdy so I added that instead. Only real 'complaint' is the drop and reach of the drop bar sections. They're pretty far out so it's quite an extension compared to my 'standard' drop bars. Most people might not really use the drop bar portion and it's nice to have, just a bit of a reach for me at least. Overall, I rode this for a while this morning and I think it's great. Feels really high quality - the only 'cheap' parts I could see were the computer and bottle cage. I don't like the pedals but they'll work for most people and I think the seat would be a good upgrade for most people, but the stock seat is usable. Leggi di più

Updated: Basic, efficient, but faulty. Great customer service ~ Issue addressed well!
My initial experience with this bike wasn't great overall, but customer service was exceptional. Read on for reviews of bikes 1 and 2 and how CS handled it all. If you have doubts or issues with this product, know they will do their best to help you out. Initial Review: Bike 1 Purchased this as a Christmas gift to myself to use in conjunction with a popular cycling app. Upon first impressions, I was pleased. Delivery was sooner than expected. It was well packaged. Heavy but not too heavy or bulky. Assembly was fairly easy, took about an hour with a 4-year-old distraction/helper. The main body comes preassembled, so that made it even easier. Instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow. Moving the bike into the gym was simple enough and I was able to roll it into the room myself just fine. Once I got things adjusted and hopped on, I was surprised at how quiet it was...Which is great for an early morning workout. That being said, being around 5 feet tall, this is a bit of a stretch for my frame. I can just barely comfortably use it, but I'm making it work. Sadly though, after only 90 minutes of ride time, I discovered a portion of the frame that came preassembled was faulty or poorly assembled. The portion that encased the belt that runs from the pedals to the front wheel doesn't line up with all the screws and started popping apart, rubbing on the front wheel making a horribly irritating sound. I have tried twice to correct this issue because getting it back into the box to return it isn't going to happen. Now, after only 120 minutes of ride time, the bike is creaking and the belt case is coming apart again. Overall, not a bad bike, but also flawed in its preassembled components. I also wish it measured cadence. I would have liked to get more than 2 hours of use out of it before it started coming apart at the seams, so I'm not sure how long this bike will last. ********UPDATE: ********* The seller contacted me to address the issues with bike 1. They were incredibly kind and helpful, and extremely quick to correct the problem. Within about a week, they replaced the entire bike with bike 2, and I (thankfully) did not have to return bike 1 to do so. They do care if their customers are happy. And that's a big deal! The following is a review of the replacement bike. Bike 2: Again, assembly was incredibly quick and easy. Easy to move and adjust if needed. I do wish it had a spring-loaded style adjustable knob for the seat rather than screw style, but no biggie. I still had the same issues with the frame size since I'm not getting any taller, so still, something to keep in mind if you are on the shorter side. (I'm 5'0). The preassembled portion, I ensured did have screws that are aligned, but there is a slight bulge in the casing, so I hope it holds and doesn't go the way of bike 1. After getting bike 2, I realized the magnetic resistance on bike 1 wasn't nearly as strong as bike 2, which makes sense since there were other issues with bike 1. The replacement (bike 2) they sent me has great resistance, easy to adjust. It's a very quiet bike. I've only gotten about 30 minutes of ride time on it so far, so fingers crossed it continues to perform well. I have no doubt that if there is an issue, the company will take care of me. Thank you for a great product with exceptional customer service. Leggi di più
